IND vs SA 2025: 100th T20I Wicket for Hardik Pandya! Multiple Records with Single Wicket

Hardik Pandya 100th T20I Wicket

India’s speed bowling all-rounder Hardik Pandya claimed his 100th wicket during the third T20I of the ongoing series against South Africa in Dharamshala. He became the third Indian to achieve this remarkable feat in T20I cricket after Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah.

Hardik bowled a 3-over spell and concluded with bowling figures of 1/23, having played a supportive role alongside his fellow spinners and pacers.

Ahead of Sunday night, the 32-year-old amassed 1,939 runs and 99 wickets in the shortest format. He was just one wicket shy of adding multiple records to his name.

First Indian to Achieve 1000+ Runs, 100+ Wickets and Sixes in T20Is

It’s worth noting that Hardik Pandya is the only Indian and the fourth cricketer internationally to reach 1,000+ runs, 100-plus in terms of sixes hit and wickets taken in T20I.

Here is how the veteran all-rounder finds himself in the elite list despite taking a single wicket in his recent outing:

  • Sikandar Raza (ZIMBABWE): 2,883 Runs, 133 Sixes, and 102 Wickets.
  • Mohammad Nabi (AFGHANISTAN): 2,417 Runs, 122 Sixes, and 104 Wickets.
  • Virandeep Singh (MALAYSIA): 3,180 Runs, 131 Sixes, and 109 Wickets.
  • Hardik Pandya (INDIA): 1,939 Runs, 101 Sixes, and 100 Wickets.

While Sikandar, Nabi, and Virandeep have excelled as spin bowling all-rounders, Hardik stands out as the first pace bowling all-rounder to claim 100+ T20I wickets.

3 Indians With 100+ T20I Wickets ft. Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya entered the record books as the third Indian bowler to claim 100+ wickets in T20I, with Arshdeep Singh being the first to achieve this feat.

Here is how India’s experienced pacers have achieved a milestone of a century of wickets in T20Is (updated as of December 15, 2025):

  • Arshdeep Singh: 109 wickets in 71 matches.
  • Jasprit Bumrah: 101 wickets in 82 matches.
  • Hardik Pandya: 100 wickets in 123 matches.

Who was Hardik Pandya’s 100th T20I Wicket?

In the 7th over of the match, Hardik accomplished his 100th T20I wicket following the dismissal of the Proteas all-rounder Tristan Stubbs.

The South African played a loose shot away from his body, but the ball struck the thick edge of the bat, which eased the wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma to take a straightforward catch behind the stumps.

After restricting the visitors’ total to 117, India conveniently chased a mediocre target with a 7-wicket win to currently lead the series 2-1.
